Hello and welcome to The Touchdown Collective. I’m Michael, husband, father to two boys and a national newspaper sports editor with 20 years of experience covering professional sport.

The NFL is bigger than ever before and quite simply there is so much content to consume it’s almost impossible to keep track of everything. Here at The Touchdown Collective I’m cutting through the clutter to bring you the biggest headlines, smartest insights and best moments from across the league.

I’ve been watching the NFL since 2000 and have seen it become a global sport creating millions of new fans all over the world, especially in the UK and Europe.

With the enormous appetite of fans to keep up to speed with the latest in the game not only for their team but across the wider NFL, I’m here to help.

What is the Touchdown Collective?

My focus is giving you a simple, easy to navigate, collated and ad-free newsletter which is packed with the latest news, pre and post-match action and analysis so you never miss a crucial play, whether it’s an amazing no-look pass, incredible run, ridiculous block or crazy interception.

I’ll closely follow all the latest press interactions from coaches, players and team executives, while in-depth summaries will pick up on the key quotes, controversies and tactical insights in the game. Breaking down the best moments from NFL-related podcasts, including from some of the most trusted voices in the sport, you’ll feel like you’re inside the game.

So, are there ads?

Nope. The Touchdown Collective newsletter is being published right here on Substack, which is an ad-free platform. So if you’re like me and sick of pesky pop-ups ruining your reading experience, this is the place for you. Alternatively, you can also receive the newsletter as an email straight to your inbox or you can view the newsletter on the home page.

Of course, there could be some adverts on third-party websites/platforms I link back to for some of the content, but don’t shoot the messenger.

How much does it cost?

Nothing at all! The newsletter is completely free to read and subscribe to. Substack does allow creators to put some or all of their content behind a paywall, but I've got no interest in doing that at this moment in time.

When will I get a newsletter?

I’m currently publishing three editions of The Touchdown Collective on a weekly basis, so you can expect it every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

This will continue into the season which should allow for the best reviews and previews to the NFL schedule.
