📰 Press Coverage
🏈 The NFL’s Spring League Meeting takes place in Orlando, Florida, tomorrow and Wednesday, with owners expected to vote on Tuesday on Super Bowl LXIV (February 2030) being hosted in Nashville, Tennessee, according to NFL Network. The Titans are scheduled to open their new, $2.1billion stadium on the East Bank of the Cumberland River in 2027.
The next three Super Bowls will be held at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA (2027); Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA (2028) and Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV (2029).
🏈 If there is one thing Justin Jefferson wants for the Vikings, it’s a franchise quarterback. Speaking on Good Morning Football, the wide receiver (who had 84 catches for 1,048 yards last season compared to 103 and 1,533 the season before) said: “It definitely will be great to have a quarterback, the same quarterback for these next couple years going down the line, but you already know that’s something difficult to do in this league.
“But for sure, to keep knowing that quarterback for these next couple years and build that relationship and create that spark, that’s definitely the plan.”
🏈 The Panthers begin their OTAs next week and The Charlotte Observer have picked five key battles to keep an eye on over the summer.
🏈 Cowboys QB Dak Prescott says when WR George Pickens “has to be there and ready to play, he’s going to be there”. Adding that Pickens, who missed voluntary workouts earlier this month, is “a hell of a talent”, report The Dallas Morning News.
🏈 The Detroit News have picked a four-game stretch that will define the Lions’ 2026 season - and it comes right at the end of their campaign. At the Vikings, the Giants at home, followed by road trips to the Bears and Packers looks a tough stretch indeed.
🏈 Meanwhile, Giants head coach John Harbaugh has spoken of what it takes to receive bad news following his sacking from the Ravens at the end of last season. Talking at Miami University in Ohio, his alma mater, on Saturday during the commencement speech he said: “There are going to be tough times. You might get a call with some bad news. Maybe about your job. Maybe they will tell you they don’t want you anymore, and it’s time to move on. That happens. In those moments, I hope you will find resilience.
“And that you will be able to rejoice in all the good you still have and all the people who still care for you - that you will come to understand there is a great opportunity on the next horizon of your life.”
🏈 The 49ers will travel a record distance of 38,105 miles next season, crossing 58 time zones. The San Francisco Chronicle explains how the NFL listened to head coach Kyle Shanahan here for help with making that possible for his players.
🏈 Bengals star Orlando Brown Jr says seven straight 1pm starts this season will help them get into a groove. He said: “I think that’s perfect. Love that. No late-game nights, a lot of rest, the same routine. That consistency is going to help us.”
